Trentham Fencing recently completed a challenging project at KeepMoat's new site in Upper Tean, focusing on enabling works crucial for the development's progress. Despite facing numerous obstacles, including intricate infrastructure, our team successfully installed a Heras barricade and essential gates spanning 185 meters.
The project's complexity stemmed from the site's surroundings, packed with vital utilities such as gas lines, electric cables, street lighting, and fiber optics. Navigating through this labyrinth of infrastructure demanded meticulous planning and execution to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
One of the significant challenges we encountered was managing traffic flow due to the installation process. With the site's proximity to existing infrastructure and residential areas, implementing traffic control measures became imperative. For three weeks, traffic lights regulated movement, ensuring safety for both workers and passersby.
Moreover, securing a hoarding license posed another hurdle. As a newcomer to such regulatory procedures, navigating the bureaucracy required adaptability and swift action from our team. However, with perseverance and dedication, we secured the necessary permits, enabling seamless progress in our project.
Despite the challenges, our team remained committed to delivering quality workmanship while prioritizing safety and compliance. Through effective coordination and communication with stakeholders, we mitigated risks and fostered a positive working environment amidst adversity.
This project not only tested our technical expertise but also provided invaluable lessons in adaptability and resilience. As we reflect on our journey at KeepMoat's Upper Tean site, we take pride in overcoming obstacles and contributing to the advancement of vital infrastructure projects.
